Privacy policy

The short version: we collect what we need to run your site, we don’t sell it, and we don’t track your listeners.

This policy covers podcasso.com, the Podcasso app, and the websites podcasters publish with it. Questions? Email support@podcasso.com.

If you make a site with Podcasso

  • Your account: your name and email address, and your Google profile if you sign in with Google. We don’t use passwords.
  • Your show and site: what we bring in from your RSS feed and Apple Podcasts, the pages you design, and files you upload.
  • Your team: who you invite and what they can do.
  • Sign-in details: your IP address and browser, kept with each signed-in session so you can spot one that isn’t you.
  • How you use the app: which pages you open and which features you use, tied to an account id rather than your name or email, plus error reports so we can fix what breaks. We don’t record your screen.

If you visit or listen on a Podcasso site

  • We count visits, plays, and link clicks so the podcaster can see how the site is doing. We don’t use cookies for this, and we don’t keep your IP address, an id for you, or your full browser details. Counts can’t be traced back to you.
  • If you send a message, sign up to a mailing list, or leave a voicemail, the podcaster gets what you send (your name, email, message, or recording). They decide what to do with it, and you can ask them to delete it.
  • To stop spam, we briefly keep a scrambled form of your IP address to limit how often one visitor can send.

If you connect an AI assistant

When you connect Claude, ChatGPT, or another assistant to your site, it can read and change what you allowed when you connected it: your pages, episodes and transcripts, people and sponsors, settings, and analytics totals. It can read your listeners’ messages and voicemail transcripts only if you tick that box when connecting, and it never gets their email addresses or your subscribers’.

  • We keep a record of the connection (the assistant’s name and who connected it) and of each change it makes, with a copy of your draft from before, so you can undo it.
  • We never see your chats. The assistant only sends us what it wants to read or change.
  • What our tools send back to the assistant (such as your site’s text, episode details, transcripts, guests’ bios, analytics totals and, if you allowed it, listener messages) is then handled by that assistant’s maker, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, under their privacy policy.
  • Disconnect any time from Settings → AI assistants, and it stops working straight away.

What we use it for

To run and improve Podcasso, keep it secure, send emails you need (sign-in codes, invites, and alerts you turned on), and answer you when you write to us. We don’t sell personal data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use your content to train AI models.

Who helps us run it

These companies process data for us, only to provide their service:

  • Vercel: hosting for the app and published sites.
  • Neon: our database.
  • Cloudflare: file storage, and the visit counts for published sites.
  • Resend: sending email.
  • PostHog: product analytics and error reports for the app.
  • Google: sign-in, if you choose it.

Some of them process data in the United States. Where the law asks for it, they’re bound by data processing terms with standard protections for transfers.

How long we keep it

Your account and sites stay until you delete them. When you do, we delete them from our systems within 30 days, and from backups as they expire. Visit counts are kept as totals. Restore points for AI changes are kept for the 20 most recent changes on each site.

Your choices

You can see and change most of your data in the app. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email support@podcasso.com and we’ll do it within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to how we use your data or to complain to your local data protection authority.

Listeners: to remove a message or sign-up you sent, ask the podcaster, or contact us and we’ll pass it on.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell account holders by email before it applies. Last updated November 6, 2026.
