Edit your site with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok
Updated
If you already chat with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok, you can ask it to work on your site: rewrite your homepage, add a guests page, or tidy up your search titles. It uses your own subscription, so there’s nothing extra to pay.
Connect ChatGPT
- In Podcasso, open your site and go to Settings → AI assistants. Copy the address there.
- In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps, turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings, then choose Create app. Paste the address as the server URL.
- Sign in to Podcasso when it asks, pick your site, and choose Allow.
Connect Claude
- In Podcasso, open your site and go to Settings → AI assistants. Copy the address there.
- In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. Paste the address and give it a name, like Podcasso.
- Choose Connect, sign in to Podcasso, pick your site, and choose Allow.
Connect Gemini
- In Podcasso, open your site and go to Settings → AI assistants. Copy the address there.
- In the Gemini web app, go to Settings → Connected apps and choose Add custom app. Paste the address. In Gemini CLI, add it as a remote MCP server instead.
- Sign in to Podcasso when it asks, pick your site, and choose Allow.
Connect Grok
- In Podcasso, open your site and go to Settings → AI assistants. Copy the address there.
- Go to grok.com/connectors, choose New connector, then Custom. Paste the address.
- Sign in to Podcasso when it asks, pick your site, and choose Allow.
Each connection covers one site. Got more than one show? Connect again and pick the other site.
Things to ask
- Review my site and tell me what a new listener would miss.
- Make the homepage headline say we’re out every Tuesday, and move the follow buttons under the player.
- Add a page about advertising with us, with our download numbers and a contact button.
- Check my page titles and descriptions for Google.
- Which episodes did best last month, and where did listeners come from?
- Add Sam Rivera as a guest on the latest episode, with a link to her website.
In Claude, the + menu also has ready-made starters once you’re connected: Review my site, Refresh my homepage, Add a page, and Tune my site for Google.
Check and publish
Changes go into your draft, never straight onto your live site. Open the designer to see them, tweak anything by hand, then choose Publish. If the designer is already open, it tells you the assistant changed something and offers to reload.
Happy with them? Choose Publish in the designer, or tell the assistant to publish. If it changed some text, it gives you a Publish now link instead: open it (your phone is fine), wait a moment while your pages get ready, and tap Publish now.
Don’t like a change? Ask the assistant to undo it, or go to Settings → AI assistants, where you’ll find every change it made, with Undo.
What it can and can’t do
- It can read and change your pages, header, text, buttons, images from your media library, and page titles for search.
- It can feature episodes, link their videos, read and add transcripts, add guests and sponsors, change your search settings and links, make short links, and answer questions about your analytics.
- Changes to episodes, people, and settings are live straight away, like when you make them in the dashboard. Website changes wait in your draft until you publish.
- It can publish your site when you ask it to, and it checks with you first. It can’t add custom code, or touch billing or your team.
- It can only do what you can. If you can view a site but not edit it, so can the assistant.
Extra access, if you want it
When you connect, you’ll see two extra boxes, both unticked. Leave them that way unless you need them:
- Change your custom domain and podcast feed. Only owners and admins can use this, and the assistant shows you what will happen and checks with you before it changes anything.
- Read your inbox. The assistant can read listener messages and voicemail transcripts, so it can sum them up or draft replies. It never sees listeners’ email addresses.
Changed your mind? Disconnect the assistant, connect it again, and tick or untick the boxes.
Disconnect
Go to Settings → AI assistants and choose Disconnect next to it. It stops working straight away. Owners and admins can disconnect anyone’s assistant on their site.
