Connect your own domain
Updated
You’ll need a domain you’ve already bought and access to wherever its DNS is managed. That’s usually the company you bought it from.
- Open your site’s Settings and choose Custom domain.
- Type your domain, for example www.yourshow.com, and save.
- We show you the record or records to add. Copy each name and value into your DNS settings.
- Come back to Custom domain. Once the records are found, the status says your site is live on the domain, with HTTPS.
A www address is the quickest to set up. A bare domain like yourshow.com works too, and needs a different record, which we’ll show you.
How long it takes
Often a few minutes. DNS changes can take up to a day or two to reach everyone, so if it isn’t working yet, give it time before changing anything.
Send everyone to your domain
Your site still answers on its podcasso.fm address. Once the domain works, turn on Send visitors to your domain in the same settings, and everyone ends up in one place.
